Hi, I'm Ellis. The business is Elion.
I just turned eighteen. I grew up two blocks from where you probably live. My parents are both from Michigan, and I'm headed to U of M in the fall, so I'm not going far. I run a hand-detailing operation in your driveway under the name Elion Car Care.
Why I started this
I've been detailing cars (mine, my parents', my friends') for years. I started Elion Car Care this summer because I wanted to do the work the right way for people on my own block, instead of hoping a chain wash treats their car well.
How I think about the work
Every car gets the two-bucket method with grit guards. Microfiber towels are sorted by job and color-coded so nothing that touches a wheel ever touches a panel. Soaps are pH-balanced. For ceramic seal jobs I use a real, durable spray sealant, not aerosol gloss-in-a-bottle. For cut and polish I work by hand on a single panel at a time, with proper inspection lighting before I move on.
If a panel needs a more aggressive correction than I can do by hand, I'll tell you and quote it before I touch it. I'll never machine polish without talking to you first.
My promises
- Before-and-after photos every job.
- If something isn't right, I come back and fix it. No charge.
- Pay after the work is done, when you're happy with how the car looks.
- I work in your driveway. I bring everything. You don't need anything but a hose, an outlet, and a spot in the shade.
